The Government has recognized the sacrifice made by the family as Swatantrata Senani during the Freedom Struggle after Independence.

Qualification

  • Got selected in prestigious IIT Kharagpur and did B.Tech with Honours in Mechanical Engineering. (1974–79)
  • MBA in Enterprise Management through the National Management Programme (NMP) from MDI Gurugram.
  • Special Post Graduate Diploma in Environmental Management from IHS Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
  • Low-Cost Housing course from the National Housing Authority, Bangkok, Thailand.

Work Experience

  • Worked for Indo-Swiss Energy Co-operation in Switzerland.
  • Worked as Assistant Executive Engineer in Indian Telephone Industries R&D Unit at Bengaluru, Karnataka, and then at Naini, Prayagraj (U.P.). (1979–82)
  • Got selected in the prestigious Indian Engineering Service (IES) in the 1980 examination of UPSC and joined the Central Public Works Department (CPWD). (1982)
  • Worked in Delhi, Delhi VIP Area, difficult North Eastern States, and Jammu & Kashmir Punjab Border area in CPWD in different capacities.
  • To bring transparency, speed, and ease in business, computerized allotment and rent functions in the Ministry of Urban Development as Director of Estates. (1997–2000)
  • As OSD to Union Cabinet Minister Dr. Satya Narayan Jatiya in the Labour Ministry during the first NDA Government, worked for organizing Maha Kumbh (“Simhastha”) in Ujjain, restoration of ancient heritage structures, labour reforms, and upliftment of unorganized and underprivileged classes. Later served as OSD in the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment for the welfare of disadvantaged and differently-abled people. (2000–2002)
  • Improved Ganga Ghats in Varanasi, executed dynamic façade lighting of 8 km of Ganga Ghats, temples, heritage structures, and heritage lighting of Varanasi city streets, transforming the city’s appearance. (2016–2020)

Major Projects

  • Constructed the most modern office building at 7 Lok Kalyan Marg, New Delhi, in the Prime Minister’s House in record time. (2015)
  • Constructed the prestigious state-of-the-art Net Positive Energy Salt Satyagraha Gandhi Memorial at Navsari, Gujarat. (2017–2019)
  • Executed dynamic façade lighting of North Block, South Block, India Gate, Rashtrapati Bhavan, Howrah Bridge, Ganga Ghats in Varanasi, etc., in record time. (2018–2019)
  • Restored and beautified difficult heritage religious sites at Gaya, Mathura, Amritsar, Jaipur, Badami, etc. (2019)
  • Revived stalled redevelopment projects of Government Residential Colonies at Mohammadpur, Srinivaspuri, and Kasturba Nagar, New Delhi. (2018–2019)
  • Constructed the iconic memorial of former Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, “Sadaiv Atal”, in just 42 days. (2018)
  • Constructed the iconic Dr. Ambedkar National Memorial, New Delhi, in record time. (2017)
  • Constructed the Platinum Green Rated Punjab National Bank Headquarters, Dwarka, New Delhi.
  • Constructed Parliament House Annexe, Western Court Annexe, and MP Flats at North Avenue while preserving heritage character with modern facilities and significant cost savings. (2017–2018)
  • Constructed the New Supreme Court Annexe Building, New Delhi, using green technology and recycled construction & demolition waste materials.
  • Prepared the concept of the Prime Ministers’ Museum and constructed it at Teen Murti.
  • Completed the Mahipalpur Flyover & Underpass Project, New Delhi, on a busy 24-hour road 11 months ahead of the scheduled completion time.
